OS/2 Issues
From Audacity Wiki
With the help of ODIN it's possible to use audacity on OS/2 or eComStation.
At least the basic functions of versions 1.2.3 and 1.2.4b work nicely.
Just download the 'non-installer-package' extract to a directory and start audacity with pe audacity.exe
Some issues I noticed:
- After starting audacity I had to click on the titlebar to make the menubar visible.
- If you don't hear sound after 'play' check the volume-settings with an external mixer (LBMix).
- It's necessary to click on 'stop' even after playing has stopped because the end of the wave-file or selection has been reached.
- Sometimes pe.exe keeps running after closing audacity and I have use a kill-tool to quit pe.exe. Otherwise it's not possible to start audacity again.
