Talk:Noise Removal
From Audacity Wiki
- Jan 27May08
I think it would be nice to have here some noisy examples with thier removed conterparts.
This would help unhappy users, if they would see that experts can not do any better. (I was unhappy too, when trying (with other software, though))
And they could try the examples as "Do it yourself" excercice.J.k.
- Gale 28May08, 08:02 UTC Hi Jan, thanks for the suggestion. At the moment we can't upload or host sound files on the Wiki, though it's been on the back-burner to investigate this for some time. I'd be surprised though if there weren't tutorials on the web that had "before and after" audio examples, if so we could link to those as long as it is not a blatant advertisement for some commercial software. You could make the same case for "explaining" to the users that sometimes, "noise removal" or "vocal removal" just can't be done.
- Jan 12-06-08: Thanks Gale, do not overestimate me. 'Experts' did not refer to myself.

The Nyquist code examples given at the bottom are now out of date (as of Audacity 1.3.8). Now that Nyquist has been updated (notch2 s q) works with stereo tracks.
