Who I am:

Back in the '90s, I did multi-threaded C++ coding for a living, but nothing recently. These days, it's all Perl, Python, and bash.

Why I'm here:

I only use Audacity a few times a year, but it's what I reach for first if I need to do *any* audio work.

What I've done for Audacity:

In late 2007, I submitted an untested patch (untested due to my lack of time and a compiler) to devel-list that I hoped would implement the looping features listed in Use Cases, but it didn't work due to threading issues. I don't understand Audacity's internals well enough to tackle the bugs. Interested parties may reach me via my (lowercase) username at gmail.com.
