Support and Compatibility

Support

The following operating systems are fully supported platforms for current Audacity.

We will provide full support for these, including bug logging and bug fixing:

  • Windows
    • Windows 10
    • Windows 11
  • macOS
    • macOS 11 Big Sur
    • macOS 10.15 Catalina
    • macOS 10.14 Mojave
    • macOS 10.13 High Sierra

Compatibility

The following table shows the latest version of Audacity that should operate correctly on any given Windows or macOS operating system.

Unless they are listed above these are not supported. We will not accept bug reports or fix bugs against any issues raised by running older versions of Audacity on End-Of-Life operating systems that are no longer supported by Microsoft or Apple.

You may ask for help with these on the Audacity Forum and we will do our best to help you if we can.
