Bug testing workbench

Peter 18Jul16: This is a page to act as a workbench for my testing on W10 and macOS.
Some DEVEL FIXMADE bugs get "parked" by me as they involve downloading plug-ins from sites I know nothing about - I am not prepared to risk that.

Windows 7 - will disappear in early 2020 when W7 becomes EOL
- P5 964 - Windows 7: Support data generated if quitting using task manager when "About Audacity" is open. This is now marked CLOSED/WONTFIX
Re-opened
- P5 1799 - Un-muting with a single track unnecessarily activates the Solo button - original bug ok on Mac, BUT closely related issue still occurs
- P4 1806 - Extreme negative settings in Change Tempo cause an "apparent" hang/freeze
- P4 534 - Page Up/Page Down when slider focused also scrolls the project. looks OK on W10 but iffy on Mac
- P2 1763 - Clicks on starting/stopping playback. I get stop clicks with a sine tone
- P2 2101 - Mac recovery file can be corrupted before recovery when switching between 32 and 64 bit builds
- P1 2134 - Audacity silently fails to launch when audacity.cfg is locked read-only
- P1 2135 - Audacity crashes if launched with a locked pluginregistry.cfg file
- P3 1892 - Mac accessibility: VoiceOver does not read the categories in Preferences
- P4 1302 - Metadata Editor should be disabled for (external program) in Export Multiple, as in straight export OK on W10 - but errors out on Mac

- P5 2100 - AIFF exports GT 4GB are trapped but error message is only "WAV" - We need the German translation before this can be tested
- P1 2153 - Crash when attempting multi-channel recording - I can't test this, I have no multi-channel device

- P1 2158 - Selection Toolbar: Length and center calculated incorrectly
What's to be done about this/these
- P3 461 - MIDI or Allegro export filter does not enforce output format cross-platform - looks ok for me on w10, Step 1 OK on Mac but not Step 2
- P1 2149 - Audacity consumes large amounts of CPU time - prob. OK - held over open till RC1
The Bugs I have tested so far on Windows and that look to be good to go so far on W10 - still to be tested on macOS and Linux
- P1 2151 - Scrubbing/seeking corrupts the Timeline with black line/black tick marks
- P1 2156 - Corruption in Timeline during playback
- P3 2178 - Export to (external program) fails with errors looks fixed on Windows
- P4 2049 - ENH: Noise Reduction error message for no selection is unhelpful
- P3 2120 - Spectral Selection Toolbar can be truncated when undocked
- P1 2176 - Crash when attempting to time shift multiple tracks
- P4 1371 - Device Toolbar does not restore large widths when docked.
- P4 1411 - Multiple non-modal "Help from the Internet" windows
- P3 1723 - Keyboard Preferences: Closing subtrees can leave highlight on wrong item.
- P1 2180 - Label editing active after clicking elsewhere
- P1 2142 - Typing within a label track selected does not create a label.
- P1 2164 - Timeline actions incorrectly disabled after recording
OD aliasing TO BE TESTED - "resolved" by removing OD ?
- P1 536 - OD computation stalls if applying effect before aliased waveform computation completes - and subsequent crash
- P3 538 - Windows: OD without seeking: an effect can be applied to a selection before the aliased computation is made, silencing the audio.
- P3 555 - Export fails without warning if missing alias file but current project state does not depend on it
- P3 888 - On Demand aliased import fails when "Normalize all tracks" is enabled.
- P3 1869 - Crash on close when uncompressed file imported "faster" aliased
