Peter 18Jul16: This is a page to act as a workbench for my testing on W10 and macOS.

Some DEVEL FIXMADE bugs get "parked" by me as they involve downloading plug-ins from sites I know nothing about - I am not prepared to risk that.

See the Talk page for bugs resolved in earlier releases.

Re-opened

  • P3 2036 - Mac: Some AU plug-in effects can be enabled but fail to register - technically this bug as written is fixed as the AU effect can all be registered and enabled - BUT they don't work
  • P4 2307 - Linux: Time Toolbar: the context menu LDPBT can be totally or partially obscured when resizing/relocating - ok now on Win & mac
  • P2 2318 - Linux: Time Toolbar is needlessly resized too large when accommodating longer time formats
  • P3 1417 - Linux: Shortcut to move backward and forward from toolbars to tracks does not cycle correctly.
  • P3 2288 - Audio clips may overlap
  • P4 1302 - Metadata Editor should be disabled for (external program) in Export Multiple, as in straight export - plus a P1/P2 residual

  • P4 2195 - Multi-channel recording pairs the first two channels as a stereo track - I don't have a multi-channel device

What's to be done about this/these

  • P1 2259 - Windows: wxWidgets 3.1.1 debug failure message appears on Timer Record start recording marked RESOLVED - but maintain a watching-brief
  • P2 2318 - Linux: Time Toolbar is needlessly resized too large when accommodating longer time formats
  • P3 1356 - "Other uncompressed files" forces the default extension for the format in the exported file OK on W10 - a faff with error messages on Mac
  • P4 2368 - Wrong results in effects when clip boundaries don't correspond across channels - unless I'm doing it wrong, it worksfome on 2.4.0 AND 2.3.3 NOT-A-BUG ?

  • P2 1355 - "Other uncompressed files" does not (visually) update target file extension according to the chosen "Header" type - fixed by Leland
  • P2 2062 - Export as WAV does not remember the previously used setting - fixed by Leland
  • P2 2240 - "Set Default" button in Metadata editor does not set the default during Export Multiple - fixed by Leland
  • P2 2229 - Audacity may fail to load a "bad" module silently, with no error message - fixed by Leland
  • P3 2204 - (external program) export converts to 16-bit prior to encoding - fixed by Leland
