This page contains Release Notes for Audacity versions from 2.0.0 onwards. Release Notes outline significant changes between Audacity versions, and list known issues current at time of each release.
With Audacity 2.0 we no longer have a stable/Beta distinction. For changes in the obsolete stable 1.2.x branch see 1.2.x Release Notes and for the obsolete Beta 1.3.x series see Legacy Release Notes
