Gale 01May14: ToDo-1 So what happens now to release notes prior to the current Audacity version? Delete them on each release and link to them on Legacy Wiki?
  • Peter 6May14: I am minded to leave all the 2.0.x release notes here (unless we can store the obsolete/legacy ones on the SF site?). And delete the Legacy 1.3 release notes.
    • Gale 19May14: Legacy Release Notes has now been deleted. To me it is illogical to have Release Notes for 2.0.0 to 2.0.5 on this Wiki (after 2.0.6 is released) because Release Notes for 2.0.0 to 2.0.5 are stored on Legacy Wiki. I think after 2.0.6 we should relink the links below to Legacy Wiki then delete Release Notes 2.0.0 to 2.0.5 inclusive from this Wiki. There is already a link on http://legacywiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Category:Legacy_Release_Notes back to this page.
This page contains Release Notes for Audacity versions from 2.0.0 onwards. Release Notes outline significant changes between Audacity versions, and list known issues current at time of each release.
With Audacity 2.0 we no longer have a stable/Beta distinction. For changes in the obsolete stable 1.2.x branch see 1.2.x Release Notes and for the obsolete Beta 1.3.x series see Legacy Release Notes..
