This page summarizes the various online resources available to our community. These let you find other people and contribute to Audacity in various ways.

Audacity has a vibrant community that extends beyond just the developers.
  • Support to users, via dedicated people who help out on the forum.
  • QA people, who test early versions of Audacity, log and manage bugs, report support issues back to developers.
  • Translators who translate into the many languages.
  • Writers who write documentation, the manual and wiki, update the websites and post on social media.

Audacity has several places in which the community lives. They are:

The communities around the wiki and manual (manual.audacityteam.org, alphamanual.audacityteam.org, wiki.audacityteam.org) are closed for the time being. We are working on opening them back up. If you've got an urgent need to fix something about the manual or wiki, please reach out to the team using the mailing list or discord servers.
