Libsndfile

Libsndfile is a LGPL available sound file-io library written by Erik de Castro Lopo.

Libsndfile is (like all (L)GPL software) available with source code and bundled with Audicity source files.

libsndfile will most likely not compile on windows using VisualC++ 2008 because of failure of the compiler to comply with C-99 standards. However, it is possible to skip compilation and link with the corresponding .lib/.dll
