  • SoX (Sound Exchange) is a great command-line tool for converting between different audio formats and applying certain effects.
  • Ardour is a complete audio workstation for Linux.
  • Sweep is an audio editor and live playback tool.
  • Rezound aims to be a stable, open source, and graphical audio file editor primarily for but not limited to the Linux operating system.
  • Gramofile Vinyl record click removal, curses interface, not the easyest to use but very configureable
  • Gnome Wave Cleaner GUI app for cleaning up audio including noise reduction, click/pop supression and interpolation, very easy to use but beware overwrites source wav file!
  • Ecasound Command line app that does multi-track recording, mixing, and realtime effects processing.
