Reviewed but not added - intending to delete
| These pending FRs were posted here but on review, appear to be inappropriate for the reasons stated (for example, the Beta already supports this feature). Unless reasons for adding them/ more explanations of usefulness/purpose are given, they will be deleted. |
- Ability to output to file/label the time location of the cursor.
- Gale: You can export label points (and regions in Beta) to a text file.
- An automated way to perform actions/effects on labeled sections (tracks) individually, rather than working a track at a time.
- Gale: In Beta you can perform actions on regions (or all) of selected tracks by using up/down arrow and ENTER to toggle selection of the tracks. In Stable, it's done by holding SHIFT while clicking in the Track Panels.
- Audacity should never, ever open a sound format it doesn't completely understand. "How come my five minute sound file flies by in fifteen seconds and sounds like a scared chipmunk?"
- Gale: Not as simple as that, as files can be given wrong extensions by users. Beta does give warnings if files are known unsupported or appear to be bogus, so it should be much less of a problem there, thus not something to add to FR's. Moving to format detection on basis of the actual content (rather than extension) is something we could be aiming for.
- The normalize number entry box in Audacity 1.3.x needs to mask for numbers only. I needed to normalize a passage to -3 so I put "-3" in the box.... Not only did it not crash, it actually did it, clipping, distortion, and all.
- Gale: It's a bug, or at least an inconsistency, not a Feature Request.
