Pending Feature Requests

This locked page is for the use of sysops to transfer feature requests from the Audacity Forum and other sources. They will be reviewed and where appropriate transferred to the Wiki Feature Requests page. For this page, it is best not to summarise, but paste in verbatim, so the context of the suggestion can be understood.

• The new formats (ie.FFmpeg, etc) can't be used with chains. I hope you will consider that on your list of features to come.

• Nyquist Prompt in Chains: Adding the Nyquist Prompt as an available command in "Chains" (for batch processing). The "Parameters" field would carry the Nyquist commands, or could point to a text file containing a Nyquist script. This would massively increase the power of batch processing in Audacity as it would enable many processing tasks that are not supported by Audacity's in-built effects to be done in batches. Virtually anything that is possible in Audacity's implementation of Nyquist would then be possible in batch processing by adding suitable Nyquist scripts in the chain.

 

Reviewed but not added - intending to delete

These pending FRs were posted here but on review, appear to be inappropriate for the reasons stated (for example, the Beta already supports this feature). Unless reasons for adding them/more explanations of usefulness/purpose are given, they will be deleted.
