I have downloaded Audacity and it works perfectly. I have a problem though with a live recording of a concert of Andreas Scholl, made on a minidisc. Most of it is fine but in one particular track there are about 5 instances of v.bad clipping. I have saved it as a .wav and then re-imported it and re-recorded it, lowering the input but this has just lowered the volume of the whole track and done nothing about these particular bits - the distortion just isn't so loud now! Can anyone suggest anything I can do in Audacity or recommend another editing program to try and get rid of the distortion?

Thanks very much Jean McCarthy
