The documentation can't be much clearer about save and export. If it isn't clear, isn't the place for that the Audacity-Manual list (which has my backing FWIW ), or (usually better) a Talk page on the Manual Wiki?

So maybe this is a kind of "competitor" or "complement" as per your view to the -quality list? Maybe it has a broader focus than -quality (so not necessarily a place to discuss an issue like "Snap-To" raised by one of us). I think if we're going to keep adding more and more QA tools we need to be much clearer about what they are all for.

Purpose of page

Jan 2010: The original specification in the Intro suggested these were primarily software issues that created difficulties in documentation. Gale felt this was too narrow and that issues may be clearly documented (like the save/export distinction) but not understood at point of use (maybe because not all users will read the Manual). It also wasn't ideally clear that the page is not intended to house details of Proposals or tracker issues, but to facilitate deciding on the Proposal or issue which is then moved. This was clarified in the Intro, making clear the purpose was to list issues affecting significant numbers of users. GA also added a note to prevent users posting unrelated bugs here.
