Our Bugs:
- Live bugs are bugs that haven't yet got as far as having a fix applied by a developer.
- Total bugs is the total historical number of bugs logged to date.
The percentage is simply live/total expressed as a percentage. We don't expect the overall count of bugs to decrease, unless we deliberately drop features out. We do though expect to sustainably reduce the percentage of live bugs.

Totals
This table shows the live, dead and total bugs counts, and the monthly changes. For example in March 2018 the dead bugs increased by 44, but 34 new bugs were reported, so the net decrease in live bugs was 10.
- Large numbers for dTotal mean lots of bug reporting activity.
- Large numbers for dDead means lots of bug slaying activity.

Selected bug Tables

Between Aug 2020 and Apr 2021:
- 3.0.2 has been released, fixing important bugs found in the field with 3.0.0 that weren't seen in test.
- We've done well on bugs, getting the live bug count down by another 70.
- We've also shifted to the aup3 format which uses an SQlite3 database rather than 'pile of files'.

Between Aug 2019 and Aug 2020:
- We're deep in a development cycle (for 3.0.0) and have few enough P1 and P2 bugs.
- It has been a stellar year for bug fixing, as we were already mostly on the harder bugs.
- We have 39 fewer net bugs, having closed some 381 bugs since August the year before.

Between September 2018 and Aug 2019:
- We have many P1 and P2 bugs, partly from more intense testing and partly because we are midway in a development cycle.
- The 'review' bugs all have been reviewed, and we no longer have that category.
- We have 48 fewer net bugs, having closed some 258 bugs since September the year before.

Between August 2017 and September 2018:
- We have made excellent progress on P2 bugs, reducing from 29 to 8.
- We have split out a new category for Accessibility bugs.
- All summary bugs have been closed or split out into their components.
- We have 120 fewer net bugs, having closed some 378 bugs.
